Graphic Design Certificate Course

Month 1 – Fundamentals + CorelDRAW

Goal: Build foundation in design principles and learn vector-based design using CorelDRAW.


  • Week 1: Introduction to Graphic Design
    Fundamentals of design (color theory, typography, layout, design principles, design elements).
    Understanding raster vs vector graphics
    File formats & resolution basics
     
  • Week 2–3: CorelDRAW Tools & Techniques
    Interface & workspace setup
    Shape tools, text tools, curves & nodes
    Colors, gradients, fills & outlines
    Working with layers & object management
     
  • Week 4: CorelDRAW Projects
    Logo design basics
    Visiting card design
    Poster design assignment
     

Month 2 – Adobe Illustrator

Goal: Master vector graphics for branding & illustrations.


  • Week 1–2: Illustrator Basics
    Interface, artboards & file setup
    Pen tool, shapes, brushes & strokes
    Working with typography & text effects
    Pathfinder & shape builder
     
  • Week 3–4: Illustrator Advanced Techniques
    Creating vector illustrations
    Logo design techniques
    Icons, mascots & branding graphics
    Exporting assets for print & digital
     

Month 3 – Adobe Photoshop

Goal: Learn raster editing, photo manipulation & digital design.


  • Week 1–2: Photoshop Basics
    Interface, layers, masks, and blending modes
    Selection tools & retouching techniques
    Adjustments (levels, curves, hue/saturation, color balance)
     
  • Week 3–4: Photoshop for Design
    Creative compositions & photo manipulation
    Social media post/banners design
    Mockups & product presentations
    Digital painting basics (optional)
     

Month 4 – Adobe InDesign

Goal: Learn professional layout design for print & digital publishing.


  • Week 1–2: InDesign Basics
    Interface & workspace
    Setting up pages, margins, and grids
    Text formatting & styles (paragraph & character)
    Importing images & working with links
     
  • Week 3–4: InDesign Advanced
    Master pages & templates
    Tables, infographics & advanced layouts
    Prepress & packaging for print
    Exporting interactive PDFs / eBooks

Job Profiles After Graphic Design Certificate Course

Graphic Designer (Junior/Associate)

Responsible for creating visual concepts, layouts, and marketing materials under the guidance of senior designers. Works across print and digital media to support campaigns and projects. 

Visual Designer

Focuses on designing engaging digital experiences such as app screens, websites, and social media graphics. Ensures visuals align with brand identity and modern design trends. 

Brand Identity Designer

Develops logos, typography, and visual guidelines that define a brand’s personality. Works on complete branding kits including stationery, signage, and style guides. 

Layout / Publication Designer

Designs the structure and arrangement of text and images for magazines, brochures, and catalogs. Ensures readability, hierarchy, and strong visual flow in publications. 

Print & Packaging Designer

Creates product labels, packaging, and marketing print materials. Collaborates with printers to prepare accurate pre-press files and production-ready artwork. 

Social Media Designer

Designs engaging posts, stories, reels covers, and ad creatives for different social media platforms. Works closely with marketing teams to maintain brand consistency. 

Marketing Collateral Designer

Produces visual materials such as posters, flyers, and event graphics for online and offline promotions. Ensures brand identity is maintained across all campaigns. 

UI Design Assistant

Supports UI/UX teams by creating icons, wireframe visuals, and UI elements. Works on simple app/web interface graphics under supervision. 

Content & Ad Designer

Designs static and animated ad creatives for digital marketing campaigns. Focuses on visual impact, clarity, and high conversion design strategies.

Motion Graphics Assistant

Helps in creating simple animations, explainer videos, and kinetic typography. Works with video editors and animators to bring graphics to life. 

Infographic Designer

Turns data and research into visually compelling infographics for reports, websites, and presentations. Simplifies complex information into easy-to-understand visuals. 

Illustrator

Creates custom illustrations, icons, and artwork for books, blogs, branding, or marketing. Works with both digital drawing tools and traditional sketching methods.
